A language learners’ forum

A few days ago I stopped getting email notifications for subscribed threads and private messages. I checked my spam folder and my board subscriptions to see if anything was awry. Nothing I can see. Not sure what else to look at. Any ideas for me?

You need to check that you're not blocking: noreply@xgipublishing.com

I don't know who your ISP (Interent Service Provider) is but you need to make sure they aren't blocking that email address either. I don't think it is the forum since I'm still getting email alerts and I've not had anyone else report an issue. You might want to check your subscriptions in your "user profile"

Have you tried disabling them and then enabling again?

I've got the same problem as Ani

I just checked and the last email notification I had of anything on the forum was 5 March. Since then I reckon there are about 20 things (a combination of PMs and posts in the Russian thread) that I should have had email notifications about but haven't.

There's definitely nothing in my spam folder and I still look like I'm subscribed to everything I expect to be, but I'll try unsubscribing and resubscribing in case that helps.

How would I find out whether my ISP is blocking the email address?

I use a Gmail address so nothing should be blacklisted. I can also try subscribing and unsubscribing..

I'm using a Gmail address too - I wonder whether that's the problem. But no idea why it would be

I have logged into the email system as noreply and I've successfully sent a number of emails to myself at 3 different email addresses including my gmail account. So I don't believe the problem is with either the source email server or the destination server. I sent a test message to Radioclare and got a successful delivery acknowledgement. I think this is something to do with the forum software rather than the email delivery method.

We are looking at this, but might take a little while to puzzle out! Bear with us.
