I think it should contain only your username, not the whole url

I kept getting the same error. What worked for me was to go to my Facebook Timeline and copy the user i.d. number. Not the whole url, just the number.

Use that number to link to your FB profile.

I have a similar problem with adding my Skype name. It says I have invalid characters. I think it is the colon that is confusing it. The thing is, when I originally signed up for Skype, I did it through Microsoft Live, or whatever it's called. So my Skype name starts with "live:" Is there a way around that?
