Cephaloscyllium pictum

Postby lavengro » Fri Dec 08, 2017 12:58 am

On behalf of Cephaloscyllium pictum (painted swellsharks) everywhere (well, maybe not everywhere, really mostly just in Indonesia), may I express a modest amount of umbrage that "shark" was not an acceptable answer to the captcha I encountered today, set out below:

Which of the following items are painted? Walls, Shark, Dog:

More umbrage, this time at the slight to members of the noble species Lycaon pictus (the painted dog, aka African wild dog, aaka Cape hunting dog.

As is the case with walls and sharks, not all are painted, and comparatively few dogs are painted, but umbrage is taken nonetheless.....

True, but they aren't painted by humans.

I'm sure you can paint anything you want as long as you have sufficient artistic talent.

And by "umbrage," I'm sure you mean burnt umbrage. :D

Yes, this is a thing. You can put "Painted Cat" into Google search.

:o Poor kitties!!!

If you can paint cats, surely you can paint dogs too. And you could probably paint a shark as well, but it might be the last thing you ever paint.
