Searching exact phrase

Postby IronMike » Tue Oct 10, 2017 8:51 am

(I searched this section for this and couldn't find an answer.)

How do I search for an exact phrase? I tried using quotation marks at the start and end of the phrase. (For instance, "French for reading") Unfortunately, no matter how I try, I get thousands of results. And before I start a new thread, I wanted to see if this has already been discussed.

TIA for your help,
Mike

I don't know if our search engine is that smart. But you could google search the site since the bot regularly scans us. Something like:

Code: Select all

site:forum.language-learners.org "french in action"

: 3 / 100 100 Italian paperbacks:

You rock, rdearman! I hadn't even thought of that, despite the fact that I use that method when searching other websites. Doh!

Appreciate it!
