Forum can't be accessed

Postby Evita » Wed Aug 30, 2017 4:55 pm

Today I tried accessing this forum from work and it didn't work. All the internet traffic goes through some kind of filter and this site was labeled as "Education; Suspicious". Do you know about this problem? Why would a system think you are suspicious?

I suspect that's something on your work's web filter's end and not about this forum specifically. I suspect that it has to do with the fact that this is a forum and likely classes under social networking (which is a logical classification). I've heard of similar things happening with other innocuous websites like Ravelry.

I think that's unlikely because I can access various sports-related forums (like menstennisforum.com) just fine. Also Facebook is not blocked.

Aokoye is correct about it being the work web filter. From work, if I try to view my personal website I get the message the OP mentioned. No such problem for this forum at work though.

Great to see you here again!
I don't think we can help without knowing more about the filter they use.
Maybe you can contact the IT folks about it. Worst case scenario, they say "no, you can't use this site" :| :?
(Best case scenario - they join and the forum helps them learn languages )
