Unused Anki decks.

Hi! I recently experienced problems with Anki: https://forum.language-learners.org/vie ... =16&t=6168
Currently I'm focusing on Norwegian and Danish, but I expect to return to German soon. I have 6 Anki decks, but I'm only using 2 of those. In those cases, what do you normally do? Do you save and delete the decks that you're not using at the moment? Do you keep updating all of them, even if you don't do your reviews?

As Anki is working correctly right now, I'm afraid that I might cause some issues, as there're going to be media files that won't correspond to active cards. Also, if you use check media/check databases, will your tags be removed if you don't have those decks any more?

Thanks in advance.

I normally just export them to a folder on my hard drive and import them later when I want them.

If its long term, I export them and then delete.

For shorter breaks, I modify the options and set "New cards/day" to 0, and "Maximum reviews/day" to 0.

I don't delete them; I keep studying whatever comes due, but I don't learn new cards.

The whole point of SRS and Anki is that your memory/forgetting can't be put on hold, so your cards shouldn't be either.

But YMMV :)

If I'm not studying them, I just don't study them. :?
