Is it possible to confirm before marking forums read?

Postby Expugnator » Sat May 06, 2017 10:51 pm

Happens all the time, especially on the phone. This tragedy happened when my daughter was trying to pull the phone, the screen rotated and as I tried to hold the phone my point finger hit the 'Mark forums read' button. I lost the unread mark for over two weeks of forum posts and discussions I was planning to finally engage on.

Also, when you are on a subforum the button is dangerously close above the numbers of pages, on top (all this applies to the original silver theme)

Maybe there's a way to undo the final command and the instances, but besides that I think a confirmation box would solve most problems.

It had only ever happened to me once, I think, but no more than 24 hours after reading your post, it happened to me again! I misclicked "Mark whole subforum as read" and it was the Log forum. I was glad, though, as I read LLorg through "Unread Posts", which had accumulated to 25 pages, and while I do sometimes go back to old Discussions, I won't go back to old Logs. Who wants to read logs of people who have abandoned their log, their target language, or even language learning altogether? So now, my "Unread Posts" is down to 19 pages, consisting of old and new Discussions and only new Logs. Perfect!

She has none yet, she only speaks some Babyese.

I might pick one to focus on Germanic and another one on Slavic languages
