Information about users' native tongues

Postby Voytek » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:47 pm

I wonder wheteher it's a good idea to implement in the forum search engine an option allowing a user to find native speakers of a language one is studying. It would help people to contact native speakers and ask them for help. Personally, I`m seeking someone here whose native language is Vietnamese. :)

Heck, even just being able to search profile text would be a great start. ;)

There was once this thread:
Languages Spoken and Learned in this Forum
You can continue the effort.

On how-to-learn-any-language.com you can search members by language but you need pro membership to actually see the member's username and be able to contact the member. 56 members have Vietnamese under "speaks", ie. basic fluency or above including native fluency.

You can search profile text with Google. Enter:
Vietnamese site:http://forum.language-learners.org
This page came up as one of the search results, for example. The word "Vietnamese" only appeared as profile text.
