You post a link to a recording (located someplace else) and surround it with [audio...] and [/...audio]. (Don't forget to delete the periods.)

How would we upload the audio off phone? It's iPhone?

As far as I know, the audio must be stored somewhere else (which you can link to), e.g. a Dropbox account, Gdrive (possibly?), Soundcloud etc. How you upload it there from a phone, I don't know. You know your phone better than I. Mine is from 2004... 8-)

It might be possible to attach audio (using the Attachments button which is visible just below this very box while I'm writing this post). Yeah, that's probably possible, but I don't know the maximum file size. However, linked files (using the method above) are nicely embedded, with a visible "player".

Examples:

viewtopic.php?p=37357#p37357

Ah, of course you can record yourself using Vocaroo, and paste the link here, like in this post:

I have an iPhone. I recorded my recording with the 'dictaphone' apple default recording standard app that comes with the phone. I then uploaded it to dropbox. I think i had to email it to myself to be able to get it onto my laptop and then into dropbox. Then I went into my soundcloud account and uploaded the recording from dropbox to soundcloud. Finally I was able to then post it. I'm sure there's a much easier way- i'm definitely no computer whizz.

One way to insert audio is to upload it to a Soundcloud account.

*Create an account for yourself at Soundcloud.
*Then record your audio on your computer and upload it to that Soundcloud account.
*Then put the url between two soundcloud tags. Like this:

Code: Select all

[soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/tom-gosse/le-boudin[soundcloud]

*The above code should give you a link like this:

I hope this helps.
