When searching this language forum on Google the paragraph of text under the blue link on Google search results is still a place holder
I think someone should change that and write resection of the forum as just a placeholder like it is currently looks a bit "cheap"
Hope this is useful

Re: The text under the Google search hit
I think it's about the results google displays We can't really change what google shows, although eventually it should display the new text I hope.
What search did you run? Is it something a potential member would search, or an existing member who forgot the url? The latter is hopefully not much of a problem, while of course we would want new members to see correctly that this forum is active and not a temporary replacement

Re: The text under the Google search hit
That text under the link can be changed to whatever the admins want, it's supposed to describe the site etc

Re: The text under the Google search hit
It currently takes the description of the first subforum, maybe there is a way to set this to the forum description? Otherwise, you'll need to have <meta> description tags to control the snippet, which this extension seems to be able to do.

Re: The text under the Google search hit
Indeed as eginhard says, Google's description of the site is the first part of the text (excluding texts on labels etc.) since the site doesn't have a proper <meta> tag. The best solution is for the admin to add a short and accurate description of the site near the top of the home page, in addition to <meta content=...>.
