yong321 wrote:Indeed as eginhard says, Google's description of the site is the first part of the text (excluding texts on labels etc.) since the site doesn't have a proper <meta> tag. The best solution is for the admin to add a short and accurate description of the site near the top of the home page, in addition to <meta content=...>.

To bump up page ranking of this Web site, users of this site should be encouraged to link to it in their own blogs, personal web pages, etc.

A custom url would probably help also, something more catchy than the current one

the mods have no access to the meta tags, but hopefully emk and rdearman can do it :)
the url is settled. it's very bland and generic, but also very much to the point and doesn't exclude any members, like another url could (for example language-geeks may look cooler but not everyone here is a geek, some just have a practical need for a specific language :)) the old forum's url was based on a book that's still in print, and it's also seen by many as unethical to use it permanently. (also, it kinda implies learning one language at a time :P)

LyricsTraining now has Finnish and Polish :)
Corrections welcome

We'll probably install the extension which has been provided (cheers!) in order to change the blurb on google. When I don't actually know, but hopefully I'll get time this weekend to do it.
