EMK looked at the load balancing after the AWS changes, and I believe he did some of his usual magic.

I was getting 503s for a while last night (maybe 4-6AM GMT). It wouldn't load at all.

It tends to happen just when I'm on the last login hurdle. Or just when I hit the reply button. I started thinking it was deliberate.

My impression right now it that is happens all the time with no reference to what I'm doing (and when it works it's slow - I can see that on the waiting time for images)

If you "reload" the page with your post, which for me in Internet Explorer gives a prompt like, "you want to send that again?", your post will go through when you ultimately get the 200 (invisible but good) return code.

Still happening all the time, making the site difficult to use. Perhaps upgrading the software will help?
