Hello,
I'd like to frequently write some short texts for the purpose of practising my English writing only. May I post on the forum for proofreading? I can do the same for people who would like to practise their Chinese writing in return. I prefer on the forum only.
If yes, which section am I supposed to post? I'm not sure if I can post on 'Practical Questions and Advice'.
If no, that's fine.
Please advise me. Thank you very much!

The multi-lingual room is probably the best place. Also if you want corrections let people know in the post so that they can assist.

Hello rdearman,
There's a thread named '你好’ created by you on Multilingual Room. If no one states in their posts that they need corrections, is it rude if I voluntarily make suggestions on words of other members' who are practicing the Chinese language there?
My intention is I don't want to be just a freeloader on the forum, and always ask help from other people. I'd like to do something within my capacity for other members who are keen to learn the Chinese language, even if they don't help me.
I regret I said I would do this for others in return in the post 1. I didn't really mean that.

Our host rdearman is a busy guy, but my suggestion would be to go into that thread, mention that you're a native speaker and offer to correct people's posts, past, present, or future, if they ask you to. If you want, you could mention what you said here, that you'd like to offer help in return for the help you've been given. Then wait and see who asks for corrections.allf100 wrote:There's a thread named '你好’ created by you on Multilingual Room. Thank you very much for your advice. I realize my responses there were uncalled-for now. I'm sorry. I'll apologize there too.

I seriously doubt anyone will be offended if you make corrections for them as a native speaker. In fact, the majority of us are all looking for corrections. I would say the default setting here on a language learner forum is to want corrections rather than not.
