Technical question

Postby William Camden » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:53 pm

I am relatively new to this site. I want to create a horizontal bar such as I see others using to mark their progress in language challenges, but I don't know how to do this. Can anyone help me on this one?

Code: Select all

[progress= ]3/52[/progress] French In Action chapters :
[progress= ]562/3810[/progress] Memrise French words :
[progress= ]7/30[/progress] Pimsleur French 1 lessons :

Which will give you this:
: 3 / 52 French In Action chapters :
: 562 / 3810 Memrise French words :
: 7 / 30 Pimsleur French 1 lessons :
This puts the title after the bar, which allows them to line up evenly.

If you want to put the title before the bar use this code:

Code: Select all

[progress=title]2/7[/progress]

Note, there is 255 character limit in the signature.

William, it is genuinely good to see you here contributing at the new site. Those of us who know you are somewhat familiar with your language experience. If you could fill out your profile to include the languages you speak and those you study it would be helpful to those who may be unfamiliar with you from HTLAL or who may not be able to remember your languages.

I'll fill out my profile later, after I've finished my deadly duel with the progress bar :roll:

Somewhere, there is a dedicated "progress" thread, isn't there? (so people can post more than their profile allows). But I have forgotten where it is...search to the rescue:

Are you asking how to do it? Or what to track? The FAQ tells you how to put the progress bars up. https://forum.language-learners.org/vie ... =25&t=1792
