I have a quick question for you. Do you watch dramas and vlives with subs or do you watch them raw?

I watch vlives with korean subs and then i listen to them without subs because the topics usually aren’t that complicated, but with dramas you get some scenes with a lot of unnecessary vocab like medical vocab and things like that and it’d be a waste of time to look them all up since i don’t need to learn them so i do this

if i press the down arrow key once it reveals the korean sub, and if i it press twice it reveals the eng sub, if i understood the entire sentence i could just press the down arrow key and then the space bar, if i press the up arrow key it replays the sentence, sometimes i listen to a sentence 10 times before revealing the korean sub and sometimes i don’t reveal it at all, and also if there’s a word that i want to add to anki i press E and it opens a window that exports the word and the sentence and everything to anki

studied for 5 hours
-did anki
-watched my love from the star (i’m on the last episode)
-watched Run bts
-studied grammar
-watched youtube

i’m almost done with the drama i’m watching right now, i haven’t really watched that many dramas before, but watching this everyday really helped and i learned quite a lot from it and it got easier to understand the more episodes i watched, so i’m gonna keep watching other dramas after i finish this last episode

studied for 6 hours and 30 minutes
-did anki
-watched youtube
-studied grammar

i studied grammar for almost 6 hours today, but it really didn’t feel like it! i like this book better than kgiu, but it’s really long so it might take a while to finish it, there are almost 500 pages in the book and some grammar points have a lot of sample sentences so i think the anki deck is gonna end up being pretty big, but it’s working really well so far and i retain a lot more than i did with kgiu

so how was the drama? would you recommend it to people?? I hear that most korean dramas start off good then gets unbearable and then it ends. I've never seen a korean drama from start to finish. I always end up watching ep 1, fastforward like crazy then drop it or watch the last ep.

What kind of Korean dramas did you try and what kind of series do you usually watch (in other languages)?

I might be able to recommend a few since I usually don't like the fast-paced, dramatic shows.

and @fjib, wow, if you will read one chapter of Yonsei Reading then you will probably finish the book by next month!

i liked it (i even cried at the end lol), but it completely depends on what you personally like so some people might hate it, if you’re looking for something really well made with good writing then you probably wouldn’t like it, because a lot of it honestly didn’t make much sense but if you just want to watch something entertaining i think it’s good, and i think it gets better towards the end than the first few episodes
I always watch 1 episode of something and then i get bored, the only dramas i’ve finished before are weightlifting fairy kim bok-joo and good doctor and i almost finished strong woman do bong soon but i forgot to watch the last episode lol
