French, Italian (and Polish)

(Winter plans)

There will be some changes in my schedule and priorities during the next few months. My Polish classes started again (fourth semester), so I plan to spend 4-5 hours weekly on Polish. This also means less time for Italian. I still have some 10 pages to finish my project with the textbook Un giorno in Italia 2  ; after that, there will be no intensive learning of Italian for some time. I plan to continue with the extensive reading though. It would be nice to complete the remaining 5-6 novels from my Italian shelf during the winter. A bit of TV from time to time wouldn't hurt.

Concerning French, my full immersion continues and I'm trying to use all the possibilities that life in a francophone country can offer. At the moment my daily routine starts with a morning radio show (30-45 min) which includes casual conversations, jokes, commercials; the so called everyday French. :) I feel that this part was missing so far in my learning routine. Podcasts during the commuting time were also extremely useful and at some point I'll probably start using them again. I'm still reading intensively newspaper articles from NouvelObs. In addition, I started to read free daily newspapers (extensively, usually I'm doing it in the bus). Yesterday I was in the train and I read all the articles (I'm not particularly interested in topics such as politics, economics etc, but it's good to learn some common expressions). TV shows: the good news is that I'm finally spending more time on talk shows.

I had a long casual conversation in French this week (40 min) and it was very fluent. I was surprised how smooth it was.

Other than that, I'd like to do some serious reading this winter.

Treba (opet) probati...

Subota, 16:29
(Dvo)tjedni log. Knjige na francuskom.
