Aww about the boyfriend ^_^ was the т in тебя missing or what?
btw a minor correction - mistakes are made, not done :) also, ideal is normally used as or with a noun, and it has a more specific meaning than идеальный. it's more natural to say "my English isn't perfect" :D

I wrote тибя instead. :P

I am not sure about your correction of the usage of "ideal" though - "my English is not ideal" sounds completely natural to me as a native speaker. "It's not ideal to go outside wearing nothing but shorts and a t-shirt when it's -20 out", "the weather today was not quite ideal", etc.

Haha okay. Would you say perfect is more common though?
I still think the meaning of ideal and идеальный is slightly different :)

Perfect is indeed way more common than ideal used as an adjective, yeah - but in most contexts where both sound natural I'd probably use "ideal" just a personal stylistic choice.

I'm not sure about the meaning of идеальный, so I'll leave this issue for the Russians to figure out. :P

Saying that something is "not ideal" suggests that there exist alternatives which would be preferable, or at least a feeling that there should be better options.

Finnish.
Phase one: get obsessed with a band.
Step one: listen to an album:

Step two: like a song:

NB: and don't even think of studying. Textbooks are evil. Even though you've asked to recommend you a bunch of them yesterday (thanks, @Serpent! ^^)

Shamelessly copied from Team German TAC thread:
January/Introductory challenge:

P.S. Ohne Spellchecker habe ich nur 3 Fehler gemacht ^^

Meanwhile, the best thing I have seen about all stuff Finnish:
Finland Män Not Like Smalltalk. Is Horror.

Also I really like Kauan, but lately I've been listening to their Russian songs. I have no choice but to advance on Finnish, because they don't have more than three Russian songs anyway though -_-

Innovative methods of studying Finnish (and actually lots of other languages)
is to get from here

I'm feeling a little envious. Finnish was fun. But I'm going to stick to my plan and wait until after the Polyglot Gathering at least before I take it up again.
