Ah yes, because you should also refer back to it in the neuter. (In Dutch that would be totally weird, because I would refer to the cat as male if it was a male cat, even though "het katje" or "het poesje" would be neuter.)

Recent language activities include: music in Czech, watching Dr Strange, reading Game of Thrones. As one may see, no German and honestly not much Czech either. Aaaaand today is my day off and I promptly waste it doing nothing useful. I don't know why I am back if I have so little strength. Maybe y'all can share some with me? xD

Both my laptops have died - not completely, but for now my learning materials are mostly gone. It's not like I can't download them again or that I was gonna use them, but this situation can either help me or do just the opposite.

What was my biggest inspiration to learn German? A shitload of philosophic songs. Here you go then:

ich bin einsam, also denke ich oft an dem Tod. Als Nächte kommen, bin ich fast immer allein, noch wenn in der Tat ist es nicht wahr. Als der Schlaf geht nah' fühle ich als ich gerade sterbe - ich meine, man kann doch nicht genau sicher sein, ob er erwachen wird. Ich denke nachdem natürlich nicht jeden Abend, aber die Schlaflosigkeit ist ja eine grausame Herrin. Sie geht gleichzeitig laut und leise an: laut weil du nicht schlafen kannst, leise weil du schlafen so willst. Schwarze und dunkle Gedanken bringt sie mit, als du noch denken kannst.
Nein, ich fürchte den Tod nicht. Mein Name wird mit mir sterben, egal was ich tue. Ich bin fast ganz bereit, jeden Tag zu sterben. Ich bin auch viel müde von meiner Arbeit, meiner Einsamkeit, meinem Leben. Ich will doch nicht sterben... aber den Tod kann mich nicht überraschen. Die dunkle Gedanken kann manchmal auch sehr romantisch sein, weil ich die Stockholm Syndrom fast liebe. Es ist so seltsam und so schön in dieser Seltsamkeit. Manchmal bin ich bei der Arbeit wie eine Opfer von der Syndrom. Na ja... manchmal bin ich beim meine ganze Leben wie diese Opfer.
Ich weiß genau, was mein Problem ist - ich brauche mehr Sehnsucht nach Leben. Aber es gibt fast keine Quelle dafür. Ich bin wichtig für meine Mutter und mein Kätzchen. Da endet alles. Meine beste Freundin ist viel zu entfernt von mir, aber sie ist wahrscheinlich die dritte Quelle. Noch manche Leute können die vierte Quelle sein, aber das weiß ich nicht. Alle diese Quellen sind oft leer oder noch schlechter.
Ich träume von der stärksten Quelle der Sehnsucht, aber ich weiß nicht genau, was kann die sein. Ein Mann? Kann sein, aber das Leben ist nie genug romantisch dafür.
Ich kann aber träumen.
