Hello, I am back.
I have been studying Chinese almost everyday and feel like it is sticking (the class is pretty slow and the teacher likes me).
I've been really torn whether I should continue it next quarter, but I think ultimately it will be best if I stick to my degree plan. So long as I can do SOMETHING fun in my life from time to time, I'll be fine. Even after this quarter I'm sure I will study on my own, at least a little.
Speaking of studying on my own, I picked up a relatively easy Japanese book. I say relatively because there's not a whole lot of tough grammar, I just have to look up a lot of words. But because my mind is sharp again (rather than deep in depression), I'm finding it a whole lot easier to pick up vocabulary than before. I went through drastic measures trying to memorize Japanese words when I was in my previous college, and yet nowadays just reading and writing down the words I didn't know has been enough. So long as the grammar is easy, haha.
That's about all for now.

Re: Xe-Chan's Official Polyglotism Language Log (East Asian Language Focus)
Hello everyone, I am posting here because I am planning to make a new language log, as my language pursuits have once again shifted to more than just East Asian languages. I also have more time on my hands (or so I think I do) due to the current pandemic keeping me indoors and out of trouble, haha.
In other words, please see this link for my newest language log! https://forum.language-learners.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14193&sid=8703f734e144316ee7ba4c4dd6a049c4
A preview : Continuing Japanese, Swedish, Korean, and Mandarin, brushing up on some ASL, and officially starting Vietnamese and German.
Thank you for following this language log, as unorganized as it has been! Looking forward to a clean slate!
