EN: Today is the day I will turn into a teenage angsty girl. Yes, they are giving me all these nice hormones starting today hopefully.

So if you hear me yammering that I don't want to study Korean, but only eat chocolate, now you know why.

And yes, I will start hating my parents and listening to subversive music. The last of which I already did.

I should write this in Korean, but I am a little lazy. So I have gone back to watching more K-drama in Korean. OK, so this one doesn't have both Korean and English subtitles, sadly enough (Descendants of the Sun did), but I can already catch a bunch of words and expressions in Korean, though rarely a full conversation. Some more speaking and reading would probably do the trick, but I don't have $200000 to spend on Korean tutoring right now, so I am leaving it be. (Korean is time-intensive).

Other than that, I finished my Spanish book and I bought a Portuguese one. (Also not very big). The question is: what to read next? Probably the fifth part of Les Rois Maudits, but WE'LL SEE

Korean is currently frustrating me with its ability to tack on endless particles and suffixes and then slur them into oblivion in order to obfuscate the meaning of what people are saying. (That said, bits and pieces are still transparent). It would probably be very necessary to take some drastic steps if I wanted to improve my Korean at short notice. I'm being lazy about taking them for several reasons:

1) I don't have a pot of gold to spend on Korean tutoring or resources right now, and I'm making do with free or cheap ones
2) There are other things I'm spending time on, such as chess, other languages, and not exhausting myself due to the insane stress I put on myself to perform - I'm one of those people that isn't satisfied until they've performed to some insanely high standard. I could of course tone down the ambition, but I think that's weaksauce and doesn't allow me to perform properly.
3) Korean has some nasty technical things going on that require particular time and effort (the myriad of verb endings, the constant slurring). These require focus and focus is something I can only do on one thing at a time (I'm not a multitasking robot).

Most people would probably give up at this point, but I'm not a quitter. I just stop for a few days and then come back to it with a vengeance. I really dislike giving up. I managed to trundle through Chinese to some extent - that means I can do Korean, and by the beard of Jove, I will!

I trundled through the rest of my Korean drama. I have been tired all day today, so there's nothing really to report. I think my medication side effects are nicely kicking in. See you when I don't feel like sleeping all day :)

I should probably not watch dramas, they make me all sad and moody.

No he jugado a ajedrez en España.
