Pretty sure that's the case given my medical track record. I did finish watching Descendants of the Sun. My Korean is still crappy, though.

Just like Iversen I have a vaguely rotating system of languages (it is just that my language choices and subject matter may differ a little bit from his). However, my ideas are modelled on his (and for good reason; his results speak for themselves). What this boils down to in my current life is that there is always some language or another I am occupied with, but it's never really a fixed one. Considering I have slightly different goals, I have elevated Spanish to a higher status (and considering I never graduated in French but in chemical engineering of all things, we don't have the same background), but we have a more or less similar linguistic distribution (mine slightly more centered on Slavic and Asian languages and he has Catalan and a deeper knowledge of the Scandinavian languages. Of course he has Indonesian, but I compensate with Mandarin and Korean to a lesser extent).

Today, inspired by my reading of the fourth book of Les rois maudits, which is in French, I've read a bunch in French on the Capetian dynasty on wikipedia (some of it in English, and also some cursory scanning of some other topics in French and Dutch). That means that I've had a hefty dose of French lately.

The last couple days I have been quite busy with other stuff (family and other things, nothing bad), but today and on Wednesday I started with some new, Polish students. I will occasionally use Polish words to translate certain concepts (sometimes English as well). What I have found is that I can communicate the basic ideas to them with my Polish, but I rely heavily on Czech and occasionally Russian if I need to make a full sentence (or I just explain in Dutch first, or sometimes English).

This means that if I make an effort, I can sort of manage to read Polish and communicate in it (not above a say, A2 level) but because of my Slavic background I can understand people fairly well.
