I have finished Lilith's Brood a while back and have now started reading Pippi Longstocking in Esperanto (better known as Pipi Ŝtrumpolonga in that language, or Pippi Langkous in my own).

Pippi is hilarious so I'm pretty content with this choice of book. And I haven't read any Esperanto in a long time, so that's a nice perk as well.

As I also finished Pippi Longstocking, we're done with reading for the time being as I now have to decide on a new book to read and that's taking some time while I finish my Taiwanese series first (four more episodes to go). My Chinese is getting a little better, and especially since I did a Chinese class yesterday which took an hour out of my time I've come to the conclusion my Mandarin is pretty all right. You can still hear a foreign accent, but it's understandable. I just need a few more vocab items to use and some more complex grammatical structures and then I can call myself a truly fluent Mandarin speaker. Well, it's pretty fluent now too, but it just sounds a little childish at times with my vocabulary use, although my usage isn't bad either.

Thank you for your inspiration! (...as an English teacher used to end each lesson. :) )

I'll get myself a cup as well. It's not Christmas anymore, but I'll have Grönt julte (med smak av äpple, mandel, kanel och apelsin). Delicious!

I finished my Taiwanese drama, finally. I am way too tired to start anything new right now, though, as my mind is very occupied elsewhere and I think I am more interested in where that is going than in learning languages right now. For some reason, I am pretty okay with where I am with them, and I'm just going to use them as is and see where it goes and when I feel like improving them.

I am travelling in the spring for ten days, I will need to use my languages then - that's the biggest thing I've done recently.

I have to admit I have been very lazy with my languages the past two days. I have done some messaging in Chinese, and spoken some Esperanto/Spanish/Russian to some of my friends, but I've mostly more been concerned with my private life which has taken a turn for the better. The problem is how I am going to fit this new possible (ok not possible; it is pretty real, thank you very much, but I have to wait and see how far I can take it; though it's really promising...) thing in with my language learning, but it should be okay. I haven't really dated anybody for the past.... I don't know how many years seriously, so that change is VERY welcome. It's a bit sudden, but I guess when life gives you lemons...

Anyway, that is all to say I really don't have anything to mention here with regards to my languages. Nuh-uh. Not at all. Nope. Nothing. Sorry.

You have a very interesting article. Tell me when a new one comes out. It is very interesting to read how you studied Russian from scratch.
