I did continue reading Kokon in Polish, but my god is the protagonist of that book one depressive piece of work. She makes me look like a ray of happy sunshine and unicorns dancing on rainbows. Great book, but it makes Poland feel like hell on earth with drugs.

Do the drugs make it more or less hellish?

I'm pretty sure they don't improve anything, it feels like a Polish novel version of Trainspotting or something of the sort.

I finished Kokon but I haven't done much else, mostly because I have spent more time on other hobbies such as chess lately. OH WELL CAN'T HAVE EVERYTHING NOW CAN WE

I'm sorry you're in pain but this made me laugh. I was actually just checking in on your log to see how you're doing. I hope things ease for you soon.

Because I have an entrance exam in three weeks, I have to go and work on my Spanish again. I'm reading a book to get in the mood and have booked a trial class (for some obscure reason unknown to humanity, I'm not that afraid I won't pass - it might have to do with the fact I'm pretty confident in my Spanish). It's just so that my brain will be humming with Spanish and I can just rattle it off like a machine gun with the precision of a sniper.

We'll see how it goes.

Been doing some Spanish classes just to get it back in my brain. Other than that, I am really exhausted because I don't really manage to sleep much lately, though I did finish a Spanish novel in four days and have moved on to another book, but since that's in English and, um, politically interesting to say the least, I'll stick to this mention here. Ok, it's about trans rights and the history of trans people's medicalization, but since it's in English that's still all you'll get from me. Have to stay queer...

I've also finally got the go-ahead to drop my post office job in favour of returning to school, which will be... necessary as the physical strain was killing me.

I WILL BE ABLE TO SPEAK SPANISH FOR FUN AND WORK GUIZE THIS IS A GOOD THING!
