Ja. mijn spelling is onbetrouwbaar :evil: maar dit is een internationaal probleem, ik bedoel het kan in elke taal gebeuren. ik probeer echt mijn beste, en gebruik de spellcheckers en alles.

I've simply been reading quite a bit in the past couple days (not really in Greek though as my level doesn't really permit it), but I've rediscovered an old great from the 70s and 80s of Dutch prose (Kees van Kooten, who is also a very famous comedian and someone who changed the Dutch language forever, and even nearly got into parliament with a fake party, together with his partner Wim de Bie).

I have also read a French novel, and a few English thrillers, and now I'm reading Xenocide (well, Xenocid, as it's the Romanian translation). I feel like I should get more Greek material to read.

I'm still reading Xenocide (past halfway now), and I've used some limited tourist Greek. However most of my time is spent doing other things working on lesson preparation and so on (and being a tourist in Crete and doing all sorts of other important stuff), so not much language-related activity is being done. Well, a little bit.

Sper că termin cu cartea Xenocid astăzi, dar citirea merge prea încet pentru mine. Și mi-am dat seamă că Ender, ca personaj, nu este amabil deloc. Știu că Card se închipuiește să descria Ender ca un erou și un om de treabă, dar pentru mine e doar un egoist și un Mary Sue de proporții imense. Totuși, cartea însăși este foarte interesantă pentru ca tratează situații pe care noi le vom întâlni în viitorul nostru. Xenocid (ce înseamnă genocid de o specie străină, adică că nu vine de Pământ) poate să fie o realitate interesantă când ajungem la era de zborul interstelar.

Plus că putem să extindem comparația asta la viață pe Pământ. Avem sau nu dreapta să ucidem pe alte specii care trăiește pe planetul nostru? Pentru că acum multe acele sunt sub papucii noștri, plus că suntem pe cale spre uciderea umanității întreagă.

În plus, pentru motive de sănătate, am luat decizia să mănânc mai puțin carne (de fapt n-am mâncat-o de zece zile deja). Nu de compasiune pentru animale, dar pentru că m-am simțit bolnav de multe ori și acum mănânc mai sănătos, ceea ce-mi face mai fericit. Nu mă simt fără energie tot timpul. În noaptea asta n-am dormit de atât de mult timp, dar cred că un somn ușor ar fi de ajutor și el.
