Already done? If so, I am curious how it went.

Esperanto:

Writing:
--Chatrooms
--Writing Haiku 12

Struggles:
--Realized I have been mixing up two kanji 宮 and 官 potentially for years
--Trying to find new podcasts to listen to. I added 墓場のラジオ. Hoped this might horror stories based on the title alone... nope it's about an anime. Really liked the hosts, but not going to listen to a podcast about a show I haven't seen. Might look into the anime they were talking about at some point tho.
--I have not found much time to practice producing Japanese despite my June deadline to get more comfortable speaking again looming...
--Despite an awareness that I need to put Esperanto to the side and focus exclusively on Japanese, I still keep doing things in Esperanto

Successes:
--Able to understand the ridiculous "dialects" in FFXIV... not sure how or why my brain can put this together. I guess it's really more "affected" speech than a dialect
Image
--Having a blast listening to Japanese covers of old American songs... not sure why I love this.

--Heard about Steven Brewer. This is someone who didn't have much time for Esperanto, but he found he had enough time to compose a haiku in Esperanto every day, so he did that just to stay in the language. Today he is an award winning author of haiku. I doubt I am committed enough to write haiku every day, and I don't expect to go anywhere with this because I'm not a poetic person. But I thought it was a nice idea, so why not give it a shot?

--Really want to find podcasts with female hosts as a model for my own speech, but no luck finding one that seems to be currently updating other than what I am currently listening to.

Successes:
--Finally did find a podcast which I can mostly follow the discussion, and the subject matter holds my attention: 都市伝説. I'll probably gradually work my way thru the archive and stop actively searching for a new podcast until I exhaust it.

Hi devilyoudont. I am enjoying following your "Favorite Kanji Etymology of the Week" entries. I learned from your entry of 陽 that the radical ⻖is three strokes. I always assumed it was 2. Thanks!

Thanks @tuckamore. I'm not sure if I would recommend that everyone do this kind of project to learn kanji, but since I'm so fascinated with etymology it seems to be working for me.

Japanese:

Listening:
Podcasts (1 hr 10 min)
--メリケン!サックリドラマ!
--恋愛心理学♡知りたい!相手の気持ち

Esperanto:

Writing:
--Wrote a letter to a friend in Esperanto.

Struggles:
--This wasn't a terribly productive week for me due to everyone here catching a stomach bug. On Sundays, after updating this log from the previous week, I usually make preparations for the next week. That wasn't able to happen this week, and I just simply never was able to catch up with it.

Successes:
--Studied every day despite difficulties.

Struggles:
--Updating anki resulted in all of my addons being deleted. Not remembering what addons I used meant that restoring my anki to the way I like it took a lot of time.
--A lot of difficulty making time for fun activities this week. I list playing video games, but my total gaming time this week was probably less than a full hour. I had also been hoping to start incorporating a wider range of "fun" activities again but never was able to find the time.

Successes:
--Going thru all the popular addons has lead me to more useful addons that I didn't have before. One of them (Touch Screen allows me to draw on the card using my touch screen. I've been trying to draw on the screen where the stroke order diagram will appear before checking my answer to work on getting the proportionality of my handwriting better.

--I took my sister and stepmother to a Japanese Tea Ceremony this week. There were lots of Japanese people there! And i was too afraid to talk to any of them.

Successes:
