Re: Bunnychu's Korean language log (for now)
I finished reading the first book that contains 3 stories (1. 신기한 항아리·코에서 나온 쥐·도깨비감투 : 신기한 이야기) and I wanted to write a short summary about the first story for the moment.
When I have more time I will write about the other ones as well. Bare in mind that I didn't post this text yet for correction so it probably has a lot of mistakes.

How's Yonsei Reading going? Got my eye on it too but am worried about getting bored by it even if though it can teach me new things.
Am trying my hand at storybooks for Korean learners now. But the vocabulary isn't always that useful

Re: Bunnychu's Korean language log (for now)
I would actually recommend it to anyone who wants to read but feels overwhelmed by the amount of vocabulary covered in an actual book. Yonsei Reading covers different situations and the vocabulary you learn is one that you will use or hear a lot. You also have the audio to increase listening skills. Overall I think it's a really nice book for Korean learners.

@ Christi: Yonsei Reading is great! I'm finishing level 2 and going to level 3 now. Taught me loads of vocab and gives me confidence to know that I'm actually progressing in Korean. The passages are interesting too so it won't bore you
@Bunnychu: Just had to say that I'm really enjoying following along with your korean log and it's v inspiring! How do you find so much time in the day to devote to korean?? And your italki teacher sounds great too, hope I can find some time for italki lessons. Are your italki lessons more of conversation based or structured around grammar etc?

Re: Bunnychu's Korean language log (for now)
This week's update:
I finished everything I had planned and I also finished the first book from 외국인을 위한 한국어 읽기 100 series. I also managed to study the first chapter from TOPIK in 30 days and write an additional text on lang8.
As for next week, finishing the homework is paramount but I do plan to freestyle a little bit with my studies because I won't have that much time. I also plan to purchase the next book from the series, so I'll have to find some time for reading.
@humerusthings:
I don't devote that much time, I could study more to be honest but after I come home from work I don't feel that motivated. I usually study in the mornings because I feel my concentration level is at its highest. ^^
I practice speaking as well but my italki lessons are more structured around grammar and vocabulary.

Re: Bunnychu's Korean language log (for now)
Today I had my italki lesson and up until now I was busy doing the homework for the class. It was quite a lot of homework. I had to memorize 40-50 words, take the test prepared by the teacher with 3 grammar points I studied, write 6 sentences for each grammar point (18 in total), record myself reading a text, summarize the text and write my own opinion on it.
I feel writing and speaking are my weakest points. In long sentences, I don't match the subject of the sentence with the right ending. For example if I want to say 'The fact that (sth) is (verb)', in Korean I tend to say 'The fact is (verb)', so I don't exactly match 'fact = fact'. I haven't studied this grammar point V/A+다는 것 yet, but I'll probably have a look in the next few days and try to be more careful when writing long texts.
Today I'll take a break and just add the words I learned in my anki deck. I feel frustrated and it has more to do with my mental exhaustion. Hopefully one day I'll see the results of my work and everything will make sense.
I wrote a much bigger text but when I hit preview I lost it . It's probably for the best because I was venting my frustration. ^^
