El Gran Apagón
Neteando con Kate y Jessica

Thanks so much for sharing a link to my blog, No Manches! This forum looks like a great place for ideas. I enjoyed reading yours and others' podcast recommendations. I started listening to Bienvenido a la Vida Peligrosa yesterday and love it - I already added it to my podcast list! ¡Gracias por la recomendación! :)

I'm glad you liked my recommendations! The list you had was amazing and opened me up to some shows I would never have come across. Thanks!!

On another note...I've been in a little bit of a Spanish slump lately. In the last 2 months, I have BARELY practiced my Spanish and lost almost all motivation to study. I slowly started to watch more shows in English and have been reading a lot in English. I've had a few opportunities to practice Spanish at work and didn't really make the most out of those opportunities. I think am finally coming out of this slump though. Typically I have a period each year where I just need to take a break from language study for whatever reason. Almost every time I return and find that after a few weeks my language skills are stronger than ever. I'm hoping to find some new podcasts to listen to in the next few days and jump back into things!

So glad my recommendations were helpful.

And glad to hear you are coming out of your slump. Try not to be too hard on yourself... reading your language log, it's really amazing everything you've been able to accomplish. When I was working fulltime, I barely had the energy to occasionally listen to a podcast or watch a TV show.

By the way... I have a possible proposal for you to occasionally write short podcast reviews for my blog! Tried to DM you, but couldn't since I'm a new user. Would be great if you wouldn't mind DMing or emailing me when you get a chance at ingrid at secondhalftravels dot com, and I can explain my idea a bit more... ¡Mil gracias y hasta pronto! :) Ingrid

That sounds like a cool idea. Maybe it will force me to get back into my old podcast listening habits. I'll send you a message when I get some free time!

I just started to read a new book titled "Los Crímenes Azules" by Enrique Laso. It's another detective book and in my opinion, very well written. I just did a Google search to see what other books the author has written, and was saddened to find out that Enrique Laso died back in August.

Here is the article I found:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.elespa ... 0.amp.html

According to some articles he was "el autor más vendido en formato digital" , at least at the time the article was written:

My plan is to give the Raúl Garbantes books a break for some time and try to read more of Laso's books. Hopefully @James29 sees this, I'm sure this book is right up his alley. Ive only finished 25% of Los Crímenes Azules but can already say it's worth a read if you are an advanced or high intermediate Spanish learner.
