Re: rdearman - FLC Log for Czech & Setswana
I've added in a daily newspaper from Botswana which has some articles in Setswana. So I can print out a page of current affairs stuff and work my way through it. This might be a little better than tweets because there is bound to be more repetition.

Re: rdearman - FLC Log for Czech & Setswana
I've been translating a newspaper article by creating a 2 column document in libreoffice. I have started to remember some words now, and I have learned that Google maps doesn't have a very good list of place names in Botswana. This last tidbit of information is annoying because I don't know if some of the words I'm trying to translate are proper nouns or something else. Sigh...
Interpretation of some of this is really awkward.
I can mostly work out where the nouns are, but when things aren't in the only dictionary I have it gets really difficult to work it out from context. I will probably try a tweet to see if anyone knows what they mean. Hopefully someone follows me who speaks Setswana.

The link to your Setswana Anki deck still doesn’t work.

They deleted that one and I had to reload so it is in a different place. You'll have to search for it.

Setswana:
I've managed to recruit a lot of people on to the Setswana bandwagon. Which has actually helped me a lot, since they are all now looking for resources and firing them over to me! I've received a couple of papers (which I need to get the links uploaded here) covering phonology and syntax. Activity on Setswana basically stopped for me last month because of my preparation for the gathering, but now I need to return to studying it. Having some pronunciation guides is useful, but it would be nice to have a IPA guide for the dictionary I use. I can't find another Setswana (Tswana) dictionary. I'm hoping someone will find one.
I've also decided to reload my LWT and use it on the newspaper articles and the tweets which I have. I'm hoping this will help me remember some vocabulary.

Re: rdearman - FLC Log for Czech & Setswana
A long time since I updated my Setswana log. I'm still persisting with the FLC for Setswana, and working with the study group. I have joined the 6WC for Setswana and it is forcing me to work a lot harder than I had been previously. Currently I'm doing the memrise courses for Setswana, my own Anki decks of the Peace Corp stuff, reading the bible and listening to Botswana radio stations.
