Casa de Papel is SO GOOD!

I’m currently halfway through Ministerio del Tiempo, and am really enjoying it. I’m also halfway through Mar de Plastico, which is also really good, and stars Rodolfo Sancho.

TV shows that I’ve watched and enjoyed in the past: La Reina del Sur, Gran Hotel, El Internado, Fragiles, Isabel, Aqui no hay quien viva...

It’s true though that a lot of Spanish TV shows have really long episodes!

Gracias. Los veré a todos en algún momento...

Las telenovelas españolas son tan dramáticas

Thanks Stelle

Casa de papel is definately on my list to watch, I shall add Mar de Plastico.

I don't know if it's good or not that the shows are long, it hurts my head but it does allow me to get into a sort of Spanish "zone" :?

Te lo prometo que esta es la última vez que voy a molestarte

Hay un show que se llama Paquita Salas. Es una comedía y cada espisodio sólo dura 30 minutos. ¿Y quieres saber lo mejor? Hay sólo una temporada y tiene sólo 5 episodios !

Ojalá hubiera más shows de España disponibles para nosotros aquí en África. Pero esta mierda está siempre "region locked''

General weekly update (because I won't be near a computer tomorrow)...

Speaking: Still sticking to 1 hour on iTalki each week, I am not sure quite how I've managed to keep this going and not cancel all my lessons but I am really happy that I've kept to my weekly lessons so far this year.

Listening: Still listening to radio some mornings and at least 20 minutes (usually more) TV most evenings. Started watching El Ministerio del Tiempo and I have watched the first two episodes so far. I am working my way through the Michel Thomas advanced CD's and have listened to 3 this week, so only 2 two go, I am finding it very useful.

Reading: I am still only using Clozemaster at the moment but if I counted the sentences as Harry Potter books (6,600 sentences in HP1), I would have read 6 HP books this year already (37,000 sentences). Once I have finished the Advanced MT Cd's I am hoping to get back to L/R my Harry Potter 3 book, just because I want to finish it. Although Amazon has just given me 3 months free Kindle Unlimited so I may be a little distracted with that for the next 3 months...what shall I read first?

I am coming to the conclusion though that I prefer TV/Videos/films over reading and that films may actually be of more benefit to me anyway, I wanted to see if I could do the SC this year when it started and so I set myself my reading challenge to see if i could maintain the SC reading levels for a few months before it started but I just can't seem to get into the habit of reading books in Spanish but I have no problems incorporating Netflix into my day

Writing: Again using only Clozemaster at the moment (I always use text input not multiple choice) and so my writing is lagging behind but I am planning to get back to it when I have played the top 1,000 words on Clozemaster. I may start using any difficult Clozemaster vocabulary/grammar as writing prompts once I get to the 1,001-2,000 level. I have a lot of writing to catch up if I want to complete the output challenge.

Onward I plod...

Chiquititas: temporada 1, temporada 2, temporada 3, temporada 4, temporada 5, temporada 6, temporada 8

Well..I decided to try and do it...nothing to loose. Looking at the reading part of the SC it's actually less than I was aiming to do in 2018 anyway
