French
- Coffee Break French season 1 ep 39 and 40 podcast on the drive to work and back
- Assimil 41 + 42
- Duolingo 1 out of 7 days this week. Apparently I've learnt 1554 words of French on Duolingo so far! Nice to know my snail like progress over a year (heavily interrupted by work) isnt too bad

Korean
- no formal korean study since like forever, but I did watch nearly 12 eps of the spy romcon kdrama Terius Behind Me haha

I've got some tests (anesthesia + emergency med) coming up next two weeks. Aiming for 1 italki lesson sometime in November as a reward for myself if I pass the tests! I quite like my teacher Pauline's methods as I get to practice grammar and also pronounciation at the same time (both my weak points).

Bonjour à tous :)
I have just completed an exam so I am back on track with French and Korean! (hopefully. haha).

What better way to kickstart with https://forum.language-learners.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9829 --> 365 day language challenge! I'm doing generic (French + Korean).

Started off with D1:
French
Assimil French with ease: Lessons 43-45 (and revised 41 and 42)
Kwiziq ~1hr (multiple quizzes, now at 79% A0 level and 16% A1 level)

Korean
Also watched the final 2 eps of Memories of the Alhambra (a kdrama series)

I'm planning on doing this 30mins 365 day challenge by doing 1 assimil lesson per day! Well as a general guide. But of course anything else is fair game e.g watching kdramas/ coffee break french/ french workbooks like grammaire progressive/ italki lessons. Lets see how long this lasts. Haha. And will sign up for french class at Alliance Francaise in March!

I loved the first 14 episodes! It would be great for language learning purposes actually :) To be very honest, I don't actually watch kdramas for strictly language learning purposes, only for enjoyment and the assimilation of the language is a bonus But the last 2 episodes were... a little odd. The first few eps were beautifully shot in spain!

Why do you think that? Does it have something specific that facilitates language learning in comparison to other k-dramas?

I love watching TV/web dramas in general, but I also like to use them for language learning purposes.

Haha nah not really, but I enjoyed it greatly so usually if I enjoy something, I learn better from it.

You are right. Enjoyment is a great reason! :D
I usually like to use, for language learning purposes, the dramas that I enjoy the most ;).
