You will find identical information on the preceding page, the one before that and in many other places. My main languages and the target languages have not changed since April 1st 2007, the date of my first post. Polish is a brand new flirt. If anyone has trouble remembering, it's a "top ten" list of European languages with a touch of fantasizing about Japanese.
On the other hand, I remember people's backgrounds in vivid detail...

Thanks for bringing that up. Now I'll be safe from Japanese wanderlust for at least another year.

Re: Reineke's log
Thank goodness you didn't involve me, I've already spent too much of my life in foxholes, normally wearing chemical warfare gear.

Re: Reineke's log
While I don't think anything I've written here was bellicose, you forgot the first rule of trench warfare. Hint: It's not yelling "you missed me"! I hope you brought your gear with you, though, on account of smallwhite's floater. I don't think I could drag you out of here should the whole experience become overpowering. To address your comment, I believe I showed you too much attention already. (sometimes in jest and always with the best of intentions). Finally, in your case I would need to deal with what Italians call l'imbarazzo della scelta. That attempt to reprogram French was epic and I can recall other Quixotic episodes. I am glad you intend to spend more time on Italian. Good luck.

Re: Reineke's log
Update:
Lots of music including Polish music. I am kicking the tires, so to speak, of my new language candidates. Once I've set my heart on one, I will hit it ogniem i mieczem.
Japanese: I have removed English-based resources from my immediate reach.
Incidentally, someone vandalized my log recently and posted mocking comments about one of my favorite Japanese theme songs. Ahem. The singer was apparently fashion blind in the eighties but who wasn't?
