There are certainly errors in her written work, but then I've seen far worse from people who are native speakers.

I've only ever used "more power to your elbow" in the "well done", "keep it up" sense. For the "I won't stand in your way" with it's implied "I think you're making a mistake" I'd probably go with "on your head be it".
