subito - soon
qualcosa - someting
dove - where
etc.
I guess there could be several explanaitions to it. First of all, English and Italian are more close related languages than Italian and Russian. Then, it's been a long time since I stopped translating English words into my native language. English kind of found its own place in my head, brain, heart. It does not feel really foriegn, in the sense of alien, anymore.
To sum up the above, so far so good. The languages get along and have a good influence on each other
I've been thinking about this lately.
Sometimes I think that could be easier to remember words, especially those that tend to not stick, if I made use of a Portuguese dictionary or even translating from English to Portuguese and trying to memorize them in Portuguese, since good Portuguese-based dictionaries are so hard to find. Hummm, do not ask me why, I do not have an answer.

Maybe later I'd write something more thoughtful about my language-learning history here , or delete this post completely.
What a pity.
