My level isn't good enough to judge her English but sometimes it looks too Russian to me.

There are certainly errors in her written work, but then I've seen far worse from people who are native speakers.

About the idiom. To be honest, I'd never seen or heard it before, so I googled it and gave the links. I've guessed what it's supposed to mean but it would be good to know for sure . Is there some difference between BrE and AmE?

I've only ever used "more power to your elbow" in the "well done", "keep it up" sense. For the "I won't stand in your way" with it's implied "I think you're making a mistake" I'd probably go with "on your head be it".

I've never heard "more power to your elbow", and I seriously doubt I could say "on your head be it" without laughing BrE has some great expressions

Or maybe I should smile like this ))).
Hmm.. Smiles without eyes.. maybe there's a deeper meaning there.

How's your speaking? What if your changed your focus for a while and didn't stress about writing for a bit?

Oh I wasn't really thinking about accent, but just speaking in general to improve your overall level. Language exchanges maybe? More for the fun than as a test. The kinds of mistakes you make now can easily be worked out in speaking as well as writing (that is to say they're not serious and won't affect understanding) and maybe it would be more fun to talk.
