I started playing Chrono Trigger in the original Japanese.
So far I've come up with a list of words about 15 items long. There's a lot of text I'm not too familiar with. Hopefully there's a lot of repetition and I can retain some of it.

Anyway, I need help with the following:

私の命を聞けない?

What's the transcription for this? 命 seems to be one of those tricky items that have multiple meanings and pronunciations, in this case meaning "a princess' order".
Is this めい or みこと?

My guess is めい, because みこと sounds too archaic and self-aggrandizing to be used in such an otherwise simple and modern sentence; for it to make stylistic sense it would have to be something like 我が命を聞くが良い! or 朕の命を聞きたまえ!

Here's another question for you; considering "追う", do you pronounce that /OU/, or /O:/ ??

Today still playing Chrono Trigger. Pleurniche un peu sur l'état de mon Japonais.

何者 is nanimono, not nansha (a person is a thing now?)
I confirm 祭り is still read matsuri today, just looked it up again.
開始 is still read kaishi.

For the rest of the list of words I took note yesterday, no significant problems recalling the readings. Jesus, that's an ugly sentence I wrote there.

Word for the day: 経験値

The former. The う
is pronounced as a separate vowel when it's an infinitive ending (but not when it's part of a volitional one, so "追おう" is /oo:/).

Great, I had that right.

Just now I finished transcribing the entire Trial (王国裁判) in the game Chrono Trigger.
Whew! It's a lot of text, most of it is understandable, but I could mine words and re-read the whole thing eventually.
I doubt it'll be tomorrow, since there's still a bit to go until it's at the correct level for understandable input, mostly in terms of grammar and such. I've got it for later though.

Gonna sleep, it's damn late now.

Playing some more Chrono Trigger.

I picked up a bit of N4 grammar:〜かしら。「私は直せるかしら。」I wonder if I can fix you.
Also a lot of vocab such as 非常事態.

Lots of doubt and indecision lately. Approaching anything that looks like Japanese feels like having to eat Broccoli, so I'm putting it on the back burner. I'm reading the other logs a bit, there's some great people on this Forum. A few other folks in gsbod's log are also talking of existential ennui and I can relate to that. Maybe I need to do another European travel mission, it's been years I'm thinking about that since my first one, and evidently it would be interesting to me.

So that's where I stand. I'll probably do a bit of hopping around with books and languages. Right now I'm reading Nassim Taleb's Incerto.

Hello from Tallinn, Estonia!
I don't have much to report except this.
