The last few days have been very good for study. I have been reading a lot of my book "Zatočenici geografije", now on page ~74.
The second chapter about China was a loooooot easier to read for me, I got everything but a few words. This time around I just read along and didn't look up everything. Going forward, I'll mix both approaches and not be so stubborn to learn every word, but for a beginner I think the right approach was to look up every sentence on Google Translate and make flashcards. Now I probably don't need that crutch anymore for the rest of the book.

I recommend the book, it's outstanding.

Oh I got some wireless earphones (JBL TUNE 500BT) and am slowly gearing up to do more serious listening. I wanna get some mp3 player with a clip and earbuds to go with that.

It looks very interesting, might have to try and read that one when I have time!

Good earphones are a real advantage when working on listening comprehension. Wished I had known that sooner but oh well.

Ah. I don't understand this sentence.

"KADA SE BESMISAO SHVATI ČINJENICOM OD TADA SE ŽIVI SA TOM ČINJENICOM".

The closest I get is this. But I'm puzzled by the way the sentence is constructed.

"When nonsense is understood with a fact (why instrumental here?) then (živeti is not a reflexive verb? what's going on) one lives with that fact."

why is it "od tada" instead of the usual "kada ... onda ..." structure.?

The image itself comes from some random reading I was doing on Croatian islands, and somehow I got to read about the croatian gulag of Goli Otok, now since closed but accessible as a touristic spot.

Oh I watched about an hour of varied TV content. I found out I have some Croatian channels some I watched some Croatian TV for fun, some kind of program about education in Croatia and kids that need some additional help because of autism and such.
They have an interesting accent
