I unfortunately didn’t have enough time to listen to the whole thing but from what I heard, I could understand almost everything you said and there were some words that even sounded perfect such as “enhance”. I didn’t get the chance to hear any of your past recordings but from what others have commented, you have made some great progress. Even in this video, I could hear you some improvements with the repetitions.
I am not an expert at linguistics or anything of the sort so I won’t try to offer you any specific corrections but I will recommend what some others have said; you should definitely give shadowing a try. If you can find a recording such as an audiobook, a tv show, or anything else really (I have used assimil to get pleasant results) and just listen carefully to what they say and more importantly how they say it, and repeat it along with them. Just go back and listen and speak along with it multiple times and you’ll hopefully start to synchronise up with them a bit. It helps if it’s the same speaker/s so you can get used to a specific voice instead of being thrown off by different accents and intimations.
As for what your friend said, I don’t think you sound bad at all! You’re actively developing a very different accent to what you’ve had until now so it’s bound to sound a little strange at times but that is perfectly ok! As I said, I could understand you almost completely and with time and effort, you will continue to develop an even more native sounding British accent which I can already hear starting to emerge!
(This wasn’t the most helpful input as i can’t offer any real advice but I can definitely give encouragement and praise!)
