How does my Russian handwriting look?

It looks quite good. I can read all the words you've written. I think, my handwriting probably looks worse :) .

P.S. The text itself is very funny

Have you guys heard of radio.garden? It's amazing. It's basically a globe which displays all the world's radios you can listen in on. You can also listen to old radio broadcasts. I've spent hours browsing. One of my favorites is Dorojnoe Radio in Khabarovsk, Russia, which plays old Russian music. You can probably catch it in other cities, but something about tuning in on a radio from the far east of Russia pleases me!

I saw a Russian movie yesterday called Неадекватные Люди (Inadequate People) which was 10/10 just for the humor, seriously. EVERY single line was pure, sarcastic gold. I'll be watching it again, probably soon. Anyway you can see it here on YouTube, subbed.

For Russian I'm not learning in lessons or with textbooks like I would with other languages. I'm just consuming native material, writing stuff out and looking up words I don't know, and chatting with Russians on Tandem. This is working rather well so far, I've noticed I'm picking up grammar points without reading up on them. The look on my mum's face when I say something in Russian is enough to keep me going! :D

Speaking of grammar points, here's a good chart on the cases:

Image

Also I just read another Russian text and noticed how the word "почувствовать" (to feel) is similar to the old version of the Bulgarian word почувства (почувствува). I'm not too educated on this but some BG verbs used to have that extra "ву" in them. They're everywhere when I read old books.

I'm on lesson 30 of HowToStudyKorean, but I decided to take a break from the grammar for a bit and focus on building my vocab. It's severely slacking. I downloaded Evita's Korean Grammar Sentences and am learning the vocab through context. A few days in, and I can tell it's really helping. The deck is amazing!!

I also added a Sino-Korean deck to Anki since I need to practice numbers too, but the audio won't show. And damn it, Anki takes forever to sync when opening/closing.

By the way here's a great chart on how to make negative Korean sentences:

Haven't updated in a few weeks. My Korean has been going very good despite spending less time on it (gone from 2 hours to 30min-1hr a day). I primarily use Evita's grammar sentences Anki deck which has worked out fantastically, I'm learning concepts quicker and starting to understand sentences I meet out in the wild (i.e away from textbooks :D ).

Russian taking the backseat again as I'm busier :(

I've set it to 15 new cards a day, and there are between 30 - 60 reviews a day. At first I set it to 30 new cards a day but it was overwhelming!

Thank you so much for these cards, my understanding has jumped massively! :)

Finished another Korean notebook today! It's just a day over two months since I started it.

I've got a fresh new one for tomorrow, so excited to use it

My ability to learn Korean has been improving rapidly. Before, it was like a really foreign thing because it's so different to English (and Bulgarian). But now I kind of know the basics of how it works and new concepts catch on quickly. There are just so many different particles that I'm worried I've forgotten a ton already!

My Korean is still going strong, despite doing much less of it these days. I am trying to increase it back up to 1 hour a day. Thank god for the Anki decks, they're perfect for quick bursts of studying when I get the time. I just finished lesson 33 on HTSK and have a unit test to finish. There's so much content!

I also started thinking about eventually picking Spanish back up. I watched a show on Southern Spain and suddenly wanted to move there. If my job allows for more flexibility and remote work in the future, it's one of my goals. Thankfully Spanish is not a difficult language and I should be able to achieve a high level quickly.
