Re: K-dramas: Here I come!
Quick update:
I finished dabbling in the book "재외동포를위한 한국어 (영어권) 1.1", so I guess I'll move on to "재외동포를위한 한국어 (영어권) 1.2". As I try to do (mentally or speaking out loud) the exercises (except for the ones that need the audio tracks), I've run into the problem that even if I understand the grammar, sometimes I don't remember well the vocabulary I'm supposed to use, so I usually go back some pages until I find the word I need; but sometimes I also get lazy and just use an equivalent word in english or spanish . To solve this problem, I'm thinking of using the vocabulary list that comes at the end of each book and input this information for review on Memrise. Let's wait and see how it works.

Re: K-dramas: Here I come!
Jonghyun from SHINee took his own life a few days ago. He was one of my favorites. I'm still in shock.
This happened less than two months from the sudden death of Kim Joo Hyuk from "1 Night 2 Days".
To think that just a few weeks ago I was feeling happy that the 10th year anniversary since SHINee's debut was coming close.
I have not done much korean studying/learning these days. Even watching k-dramas felt somehow painful.
But, of course, Youtube invaded me with recommendations of SHINee's videos. I cried while watching those videos. I'm not even a hard core fan of SHINee but I certainly like them and their music and I enjoy watching them on variety shows from time to time.
I hope you are in peace now, Jonghyun-ssi.
Thanks for sharing that last letter with the world. I hope your words and your suffering help to change the messed up parts of the entertainment industry.
You were loved by many, and you still are.
Rest in peace.

Re: K-dramas: Here I come!
I'm finally coming back to my korean learning activities.
These past days the only activity I did everyday was to take the Viki's K-drama Vocabulary Quiz. I actually beat my previous record of 61% with a new one of 62%
Today I also practiced my reading speed with the second episode of season one of the TTMIK's Iyagi series. One thing I like to do is to listen to the audio many times. It helps me to better differentiate the sounds and words and, as a bonus, with each new pass I start to understand more a more of what they are talking about.
So far I think this reading speed practice is actually helping a lot. Since a few days ago I've noticed that I can read individual words and short sentences a lot faster than before.
I created a course on Memrise to review the vocabulary from "재외동포를위한 한국어 (영어권) 1.1" and I plan to complete it before continuing with "재외동포를위한 한국어 (영어권) 1.2".
I also want to try to use the "Learn Korean through K-POP" website, so I decided to make a little experiment with the song "Eyes, Nose, Lips" (눈, 코, 입) by Taeyang (of Bigbang). For now I'll just use a course from Memrise to learn its vocabulary and I'll try to listen to this song many times a day. When I know all the vocabulary I plan to focus on the grammar part using the grammar explanations from the "Learn Korean through K-POP" website.

Good to see you back, I find a short break when I can't focus ( ) is sometimes a good way to re-evaluate my routine, it allows me to see what activities I missed and which I didn't.

Then I may give it a chance.
Does anyone know what happened to ロータス? It seems like not only are they gone, but all their posts disappeared too, so the beginning of your log makes it seem like you're talking to yourself.
I remember that when reineke got banned, his old posts still showed up on the forums, so this is especially surprising to see.
