Ha! So true. But no, I didn't install that one. I tried installing the Laurence Fishburne one, but it cost monthly...

Week 3 of German done. Going smoothly so far. Future tense, past tense, present tense. Watched the big speech from The Great Dictator today and understood a lot. I think I have a chance of a 2/2 in the DLPT.

Lots of Pimsleur done this weekend. I'm moving on to level 2 of German Pims tomorrow. Also listened through the DW nachrichten langsam as well as reading it in a detailed matter. I got 20 something words for my Quizlet from two of DW's Saturday news articles.

Did a lot of dog walking (spazigehen?) today and went through 4 (four!) Pimsleur units. And then the dog got our salmon off the stove top, so I'll be walking him for a long walk again tonight so maybe yet another one or two units?! Ugh.

Happy Easter to all my (western) Christian friends!

"Spazieren gehen" - going for a walk with or without a dog.
"Gassi gehen" - a dog is required.

In class we are using this site by Nancy Thuleen. It's really great. Worked a couple of exercises on simple past today.

Also opened up my wife's very old German for Reading Knowledge, 4th ed. Really like this book, but so many notes and flipped corners that I looked for an updated version today. Holy crap it's expensive! I'm doing a chapter a day in it. Also got Pimsleur II which I'll start tomorrow.

Just finished Harry Potter #2 in English today, and will start it in German probably tomorrow. Progressing in German and I think I have a good chance at a 2/2 on the DLPT in May. We'll see. OPI will be harder, but I think a 1+ is in the realm of possibility. I'll start writing up some notes on Family, Occupation, Recreation, Travel, About me (FORTA, recommended for OPI).

Also going through German for Reading Knowledge, but my wife has so roughly used the one we've got (4th ed) that I've ordered another one, this time a 5th ed. This book is expensive, but so very good.

On unit 7 in Pimsleur German II, just finished Kapital 6 of German for Reading Knowledge. Just about done with chapter 2 of HP2 auf Deutsch. Can't wait for the 5th ed of GfRK, which should come soon. Middle of week 5. Almost half done.
