Finished ch8 of Hunger Games and started ch9. Good stuff. Listened to some Pimsleur this morning. Also had a start at the думать chapter in the grammar book. So looking forward to watching Russian Survivor this weekend!

Chapters 9 and 10 are short in Hunger Games, so finished both of them on the train today. Also listened to an episode of Что это было about Putin and the people around him. Wife and I are going to a class on creating winter terrariums tonight, so probably won't get much done in my grammar book.

Subscribed to the Ekho Moskvy podcast and started it today. Kinda hard. Will keep listening to the latest episode. Also started ch11 of Hunger Games. It's quite long, so will finish it this weekend.

And just discovered a whole part of Kartina TV I didn't know existed: Movies! I'm watching the first Tomb Raider/Lara Croft movie, and no English in the dubbing. Hurray!

Listened to more of the Эхо Москвы podcast today. Damn it is advanced. I'm gonna have to listen to this episode a few times.

Also found Вскрытие покажет, which is basically Russian-language version of Bones. So far so good. Watched S1E1. Then I found Castle, and watched two episodes of it.

Today the wife and I watched the first episode of Russian Survivor (Последний Герой). Lots of fun. One of the "stars" freaked out at the cameramen and started throwing sand at them. Ended up they had to ask their version of Jeff Probst to come to the camp and yell at him. It was a fun show.

I also listened to the coronavirus episode of Что это было, and then started listening to it again. Getting it. Also finished ch11 of Hunger Games. Overall good weekend for language studies.

Then I lifted with my wife (still far from 135# overhead press), followed by a short, 1000 yard swim cool down. Arms are now dead.

Finished ch12 of Hunger Games, going well. Listened to some more of the same episode from the BBC's Что это было?

Helluva Russian day today. Read two chapters of Hunger Games. Actually (finally) did a lesson in GLOSS at work. I picked one from the 2+ reading lessons, about a Russian basketball player in the NBA. Boring, but good Russian. It was listed under Reading, but dammit if 3 of the 6 sections didn't have listening involved. ;)

When I got home, I did some more in my grammar book, more of думать verbs, to include передумать, раздумать, одумать. Lots of fun.

Managed some more GLOSS today again. This time another 2+ reading, and about a Russian businessman w/Greek passports getting stopped from flying out of Greece, due to never having served in the Greek military. ha! Poor bastard. Another easy one. I think the next GLOSS reading I'm going to do will be at level 3.

Also read ch16 of Hunger Games and started ch17.

Finished ch17 and 18 today of Hunger Games. But that's about it. No time at work for GLOSS. And I've been "reading" a book to/from the train on Audible, an English book, so no podcasts this week. No worries because the BBC podcast that I listen to (Что это было?) only uploads new podcasts once a week.

My in-laws just bought my daughter a giant stuffed dinosaur and I am obligated to inform you that I have named him Iron Mike Tyseratops.
