Oh they are read by Kara Shallenberg! She is one of the best. I have never heard those stories. I'll definitely put them on for the kids.

I've been pretty sleepy the last few days (yay narcotics), but when I am awake my brain is finally back. I dug back into Russian and FSI French. I've also watched like 2 hours of Kaamott and a few episodes of other things. I realized I understand Kaamelott way better than say, a podcast on politics in Africa or something. I feel like I am the exact opposite of everyone else. I think Kaamelott is pretty straight forward now, easier than Engrenages and much much easier than the news. I think this stems from my deep hatred of the news. I do want to look up some of the jokes I missed. For example, one must have hinged on a homophone for un élan but I haven't figured it out yet. I definitely miss a lot of the plays on words but in many cases I recognize where they are. The show is still really funny without every single joke.
By contrast, politics are never funny...

I was gong to post a picture but they are all weird and he won't open his eyes :)

Anyway William is here after an hour and 10 minutes of labor. I did point out that William is a bit hard to pronounce in the flow of French speech. DH says I should just call him Guillaume :)

Now I get to lay in bed with a smushy warm baby and study languages for two weeks hooray :-D

Congrats! So close to the perfect birth day. ;)

My baby is two weeks olds today :)

I got a ton of studying done for about a week in there. Covered a lot of FSI, reviewed Russian, and watched a whole lot of Kaamelott and Ainsi soient-ils.

A couple days ago I got hit with some post partum depression. It was rather extreme and utterly out of the blue, which I guess is how it goes. This is the first time I have had anything like this. Apparently the first line of defense around here is sleeping medication and more or less sleeping as much as possible for 24h. So, I've been sleeping. I feel tons better but all formal study is on hold until I am sure life is taking a more normal direction. That was a little scary for a bit there and I have no interest in re-experiencing it.
