First L-R of bible (again, but with changes). I found audio that almost matches my 1970s bible, so more modern. http://listen.bible.is/CEBPVV/Mark/2

Mark - 1

1) Read English
2) Listen & Read Cebuano
3) Speak Cebuano (record)
4) Read English & Listen Cebuano
5) Write Cebuano (some, 1-2 pages but double spaced for notes)
6) Translate, notes on written text[/list]

Also, came across this, copied and summarised in a doc and printed - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austrones ... nt#Cebuano - also useful for Indonesian etc

Spanish - nada - need to think of maintenance activities. Preferably FUN listening and speaking.

Cebuano
Good bit of time yesterday and today on Cebuano.

Mark 2 L-R-S-W (listening, reading, speaking, writing).

Went through the Austronesian Alignment doc - trying to write some examples.

Did homework of writing basic sentences, but haven't listened to my skype sessions yet.

Priorities for me are
1) Speaking
2) Grammar
3) Listening

Apart from the bible (which is not colloquial conversational Bisaya), I need to find something entertaining to listen to.

Functions in C Tutorial (Visayan-English) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3MF9SQ2voQ
Bisaya Vlog (student programmer?) - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM3G2A ... rcw/videos
Music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6yF6sx ... mJYmG5uGM7

Urge to investigate "Computational Linguistics" after I found people talking about Cebuano Stemming Algorithms - I think there's a MOOC but I'll avoid the urge.

Cebuano

Quite a few hours today.

Finding some youtube content

Vlog:-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC6-Kn6WSk4 - seems prolific, hard to understand for me (and not just as it's Bohol dialect). Pushing myself with these.

Read El Cid Wikipedia article using web reader at Binisaya.com.

24/4/2018

Spanish - Nada

Cebuano - 2 tutor sessions, homework. Another due tomorrow morning. Some speaking at home, but possibly less as I'm more aware of how ungrammatical I am. I have last skype session's audio recording to review (now). I'd like to do some more bible l-r but I need to do technical first.

Technical - I need to pass an exam within a time limit. 100 hours of video study plus example exam.
2 done.

Spanish

Hour of watching tv 'el ministerio del tiempo'. No subtitles. Didn't understand much but got better. Not sure if I should watch once with subtitles and once without.

Cebuano

Tutor. Can't remember too much but have audio recordings.

Testing me on whether I recognised different affixes and verb forms.

Little bit of Cebuano with my wife while shopping. Simple subjects, so easier than other times.

I've tried multiple times to get this course working. It works today (new PC, internet explorer on Windows 10 with some loosening of security). Previously I used Macs and corporate PCs.

It could also be that the old flash was very old? Perhaps I chanced on a different url? This one is in a browser and not download.

Anyway thanks. I am on lesson/test 3 of 11.

Easy so far but some useful info popping up in explanations to the answers.

Edit Url I am using: http://hs2.dliflc.edu/cebuano/course/index.html?cebuano (which was probably launched from http://hs2.dliflc.edu/cebuano.html)

To get the link Systematiker posted to work on windows 10 try the following:
Hit key combo windows key + r (or navigate to the run command), type iexplore then hit enter. That will launch what looks like an older version of IE. Then simply go to the link and the flash course will likely work. Tested on my current windows 10 box (failed using chrome and failed using new IE, but worked fine with technique suggested). Technique comes in handy for many such situations on windows 10.

It only STARTED to work on win 10 ! But I think it's more likely that it's because the PC isn't subject to a restrictive set of group policies. Slight chance it was related to a server change but unlikely.

It failed on Mac and win 7 previously.
