Cebuano.

Four unexpected cebuano visitors. Talking a bit. Listening a bit. Good overall but short. This weekend should be some more cebuano spoken.

Spanish

Language transfer 44 of 90 but not done it for a while.

Duolingo all gold. 30 PTS a day ticking over.


Readlang gets most attention.

Extr@ done first nine of 13 (but 10 missing).

Done some other texts.

100 plus flashcards to do. 15 to 30 new ones for each extra episode of 1500 to 1800 words. About 30 minutes per video episode.

First spanish conversation yesterday with a couple at the park.

Hard to understand, struggled to do more than 'me Tarzan you Jane' type halting conversation but some understanding.

Bit spoken in house and on Facebook.

About 103 days streak Duolingo. Mostly gold. 30 points a day. Trying to listen more than read, have the answer in my head before looking. Generally pretty easy to me. Sentences are short and seem contrived. But it's addictive and the streak tells me how long I've been going in this session.

Readlang - flashcards overwhelming. 350 to test. Doing more videos. Extra done (13 episodes, last few text only, easy).

Some music vids. Hard, even if just rated A1.

Work rate was flagging. Hopefully better now that texts and videos will be concentrated on. I'll just leave the flashcards to a time when I can't do more intensive activities.

Also work and home were busy.

So 12000 words just this evening roughly. Duolingo 100 plus days.

12pm 67 texts containing a total of 44572 words.
About 5000 words in 4 hours VERY intermittent reading.

21:40 - You've completed 69 texts containing a total of 52714 words

So 16000 words today. Around 64 pages at 250 words per page. Quite a few hours too.

Probably one third of English reading speed with a book. But this was on a small phone.

So 4000 counted plus 2000 not counted as I tried Aesop's fables but it was too hard to understand the morals of the stories and felt like work rather than play. I switched to A1 or A2 songs which are more fun.

Approx 300 words every 5 minutes, so around 1000 per 15 mins or 3000 plus per hour with some breaks.

Cebuano

Tried hey Joe and it was awful. Hard to think of much engaging Cebuano media. News and sports annoy me or too much murder etc. Not so much history, so maybe politics or travel.
