Today, I reviewed chapter 7 of the Teach Yourself book and copied another text.

Aujourd'hui, je lus le chapitre VI du livre VIII du tome III des Misérables.

Català :
Avui, vaig terminar el llibre Parlons catalan. Vaig llegir el poema "El neu qui dorm" de Josep Sebastià Pons. Crec que memoritzaré-ho, perquè vull memoritzar almens un poema en totes les llengües que conec, i aquest era el millor del llibre.

Vaig perseguir a provar a memoritzar "El neu que dorm".

Today I read and recorded the last six sections of Tacitus' Germania.

Cela m'a fait plaisir de lire certains de ces messages ... et aussi dans de nombreuses langues; en effet plus que je ne peux comprendre!

Today I reviewed lesson 10 of the Teach Yourself course, thus returning to where I was when I started to review. In addition, I copied another text from my other book of texts.

Latin :
In preparation for my course this term, I started reading the 7th book of Pliny the Elder's Naturalis Historia. I cannot yet say much about how I like it.

I read some of Misérables but got bored and gave up. Good for you for persisting.
Also I read Germania and Agricola, which are rather different in tone from the Annals and Histories, of which I have read only a bit, but not read any of Pliny the Elder. I look forward to your opinion of it.

I agree : the more I read of Les Misérables the less I like it. Hugo was a talented author who created a deeply flawed novel.

Latin :
More Pliny. His writing style is less easy than that of Tacitus and his anthropology is certainly a lot more... unusual.

Jo no tenc que un llibre català, Història de l'art català, que vaig començar. La secció que vaig llegir avui parlava de l'arquitectura dels visigots. Era més fàcil que pensava.

Latin :
I also had my first Latin class today, where we discussed the section of the Natural History which we read. I think this class will be better than last year.

Latin :
I had a brief writing assignment in Latin to do today, thus meaning that I have already used Latin more in this course than last term.

Català :
Vaig perseguir a llegir Història de l'art català. Non era remarcable.

Français :
Aujourd'hui, je lus le chapitre XIV du livre VIII du tome III des Misérables.
