Friday update....
This week:
16 hours Italki lessons: 1 hour (2 x 30 minute trials)
Writing 8000 words: 1045
Glossika GSR 1: 59-62
Anki 241 sentences mastered: 0 - 10 new cards each day.
Thoughts...
Italki lessons were REALLY scary but I spoke Spanish for probably about 80% of the time so I decided to include them in my challenge. One of the teachers I felt really comfortable with and my trial overran, the other just didn't click for me (I was clock watching, never a good sign). Will book a couple more trials next week, as I would like to have more than one teacher however if I end up with just one that I like then so be it.
Writing is going well, I seem to have 3 or 4 people who are emailing me on a daily basis. One is a bit studious but the others seem really friendly and I haven't run our of things to write yet. I am very happy that I have managed to write (badly) 1045 words in just 2.5 days
Glossika is helping, however I noticed that none of the sentences flew into my head during the italki lessons however I shall just keep drumming them in, as it did make me much more confident about my pronunciation and the speed of my speech was pretty good.....I must have spoken over Spanish 30,000 sentences using Glossika by now!
Anki is good, having to write the sentences allows me to really make sure I am conjugating verbs correctly and my grammar is improving, I tend to mumble sentnces I am unsure of when using the Glossika audio and also there are many I know off by heart and so Anki is allowing me to just drill the specific ones I have trouble with. I don't really get on with Anki that well and I usually drop it fairly quickly but this smaller deck with a very specific target seem to be less daunting.
So there it is my new "output heavy" schedule is now in place and will remain so until the New Year.
Edited x3 because I don't seem to be able to write properly in English anymore!
