I use a
table, with each paragraph on its own row so that they line up even when the translations are slightly different lengths. The forum syntax is very cumbersome, but I care enough to bother. Here's what the BBCode looks like:
Code: Select all
[table][tr][td][color=#008000]ESPAÑOL PÁRAFO 1[/color][/td][td][i]ENGLISH PARAGRAPH 1[/i][/td][/tr][tr][td][color=#008000]ESPAÑOL PÁRAFO 2[/color][/td][td][i]ENGLISH PARAGRAPH 2[/i][/td][/tr][/table]
And here's how it displays:
ESPAÑOL PÁRAFO 1 | ENGLISH PARAGRAPH 1 |
ESPAÑOL PÁRAFO 2 | ENGLISH PARAGRAPH 2 |
Annoyingly, if you try to put any linebreaks in between the markup to make it easier to edit, you will get a bunch of empty space
above the table. So
it has to all be one very very long line.
It automatically figures out the width of each column; there's no way for you to control it, alas.
For ease of use, I keep a draft post with my current languages, so I can go to the
Manage Drafts page and copy-paste the BBCode each time I want to use it. (Do
not use the "Load Draft" feature, because that will
delete your draft-template!)
Hope that helps!
