So my dog is wheezing less, but sneezing and snorting more. But somehow that seems to me less like she's dying. Hopefully my aunt and uncle can afford to take her soon.
Work went well. Today I sold ~1400 worth of shoes, which at my commission is about $98 take home, which is pretty good considering that I didn't even sell for 3 of the 8 hours I was working. People said that today was slow, but I made more than I expected.
Language wise? I'm both more and less tired than I expected. I've made some flash cards, but just crazy exhausted.

Re: One Step at a Time
I've taken my dog to the vet and gotten anti-biotics for her. She's doing a little better.
I've done absolutely no studying, as the pain in my feet has been so intense that it has been all I could think about. Yesterday I was litterally kneeling on the floor between customers because the pain was so bad. Today was my first day off so far. They've already messed up my pay and I don't even get it until Friday.
My uncle D brought me some stuff from his last trip to Japan to cheer me up (my aunt and uncle told him they heard me crying at night because of my food pain ) It's some pretty cool stuff. He even left an admittance ticket in one of the pamphlets!

Re: One Step at a Time
My dog is doing quite well, about half done with her anti-biotics and feeling much better.
I haven't touched any study materials except for one anki session in the last week. I haven't even watched anything really, subtitles or otherwise. Maybe like 9 episodes of Boruto (sub) and a little SNK (sub) so I hardly count that. I notice that I've been recognizing more and more things without consulting the subtitles, so that feels good, but it's hardly studying.

Re: One Step at a Time
My dog is doing great! I'm so happy.
I've literally not even kept up with my Anki reviews, but I think I've finally settled into a routine concerning work, so I'm going to start to push myself, especially on my shorter work days.

Re: One Step at a Time
Well, I’ve ignored this forever (again) but this time is different.
“Why is it different?” I hear you asking. “Did you make some dumb New Years Resolution?”
To which I can very happily say, “Not at all.”
I’m going to Japan for 88 days, with basically no money to speak of. So I’ll have a lot of free time and a lit of opportunities to practice.
So immersion method I guess. I get very bad culture shock, so this ought to be interesting...

What's bringing you to Japan for so long and why with so little money?
Will follow along, jealously.

You're not a C1 (or B1 or whatever) if you haven't tested.

Well since you're back, I can finally ask something I've been curious about when you first started this log. You mentioned 'AV' a lot in your posts. What do you mean by 'AV'? I thought it was anime as you seem to be watching that towards the end of your log but in the beginning you never mentioned what you were watching besides saying it was 'AV'. Hope you are able to fix your money problem and enjoy Japan.
Nope, it was anime. I was just embarrassed to say that.

My own sense of determination and lack of ability to make good life choices. Literally like 9 days ago I bought tickets and decided I was going. I’m kind of impulsive.

Out-freaking-standing! Good on you. That's awesome. In 3 months you'll be speaking Japanese awesomely and you'll wonder why you didn't do this earlier!
(Definitely jealous. If I could do anything different (but still meet my wife and have my kids), I'd go to Japan to teach English and learn Japanese.)

One good thing about taking Greyhound and living in the US Southwest, is the consrant opportunity to practice Spanish.
At both of my last two jobs, I’ve had mostly-Spanish and only-Spanish customers, and Greyhound (at least down here) is basically bilingual. Some parts of the rules are only said in one language or the other, so I try to match everything up, and see what’s different in each one.
