Well, a few months would mean I might be already finished with the whole studying-thing. Realising that I will have a Diploma in Engineering* might be even weirder than this. There's only the final thesis left for now.

Had a meeting today, because of the mess. I've been told that I must have confused the professor quite a lot. Shit like this usually does not happen. Now I shall think about, whether I would like to talk to the professor some time later as well. We'll see.
At least I could also get answers to my questions - I'll get even more exceptions than in any normal case. That's actually more than I expected. I'm really feeling thankful for this, as this had been some kind of unsolved issue for me. And I don't even get it because of the mess, but due to other reasons. (I'm really taking every possible exception one can get, it seems.)

*This is equivalent to a Master's degree.

The last weeks I feel like my Spanish deteriorated. Damn it. I'm lacking of vocabulary. Maybe the course doesn't introduce it in a good manner, as I don't get along with guessing as I usually do. (When I learned something from those four years of Latin back in school, it's guessing.)
I didn't write anything in Finnish and Spanish the last times, though I wanted to do so every time. So at least today some more stuff in Finnish and Spanish:

En oikeest oo tehny mitään suomea varten. Suunnuntaina täällä on taas suomalainen joulukonsertti. Ehkä voin sitten puhua taas pari lausetta.

Summary in English:
I was sick last week and therefore couldn't go to the Finnish christmas concert, we have every year. I dicided to finally pick up Ronia Robbersdaughter as next book in Finnish.
I missed two lessons of Spanish.

I somehow didn't go to the last lesson of spanish before Christmas. But in the evening I made attempts to listen some Spanish and to speak with a girl from the Dominican Republic. I've probably never met anyone from there before. Although my speaking was horrible, I was able to understand pretty much (and everything that I was asked). I got compliments for my pronounciation, both my Spanish and English* one. :D
But active speaking, as I said, was awful, I really have to practice that. After all, that's why I started learning Spanish in the first place. I want to be able to hold a conversation.

I also had a conversation about CEFR-levels and teaching in school, and it's still weird for me to realise that my English classes must have been exceptionally good. In school I never thought about it that way, it was just normal English teaching and I assumed that it's like that everywhere.
My Spanish class in school was different, but there were reasons somehow and we only learned Spanish for three years and didn't have as many weekly lessons as in English, so it wasn't such a surprise it turned out the way it did.

*It's by far not the first time a non-native tells me that.

Again a post with not really any news. I got a new hard drive for my laptop and therefore a new version of ubuntu. I planned to change this one year ago, but it somehow didn't work out back then.
Due to some changes it will probabaly take a while to get everything working as it was before.

I haven't done any further reading in Finnish, but looked up some of the words in the German translation, because I couldn't find them anywhere, especially the terms for some creatures. I realise that not only the Finnish translation has this somehow odd language, but the German translation gives me the same feeling. :D
Although it's still a children's book I do not recommend it for beginners of any language. (There was obviously a reason, why I didn't feel ready to read it when I bought it in 2010.)

Some creatures:
ajattara - (Wild-)Drude
kaikkiainen - Rumpelwicht
männinkäinen - Graugnom

Yesterday I still managed to finish Ronja Ryövärintytär on a 5-6h train ride. So I fulfilled one of my two New Year's resolutions for 2016. :)
I won't set a specific goal for 2017, because I already have the Super Challenge and otherwise 2017 will be quite unpredictable due to the end of my university studies.

No resolutions, but ideas for 2017:
- I might go abroad and find some internship or similar job. I'd absolutely like to go to Spain and/or Finland for such purpose. My Spanish would definitely benefit from going to some Spanish speaking country for more than just a short visit and not having to worry about a work permit in Europe is a plus. (I'm lazy after all ;) ) - But Spain is no option for the summer months, because of the heat. So autumn should be nice.
- More travelling. (List of countries I have travelled so far.)
- Go again to at least one festival. - I usually said "but I don't know whether I have time" or "I have too much to do due to my studies", but not this year!

There is only one single resolution I do have for 2017:
- Graduating from University.

The north coast of Spain might be OK in the summer.

I had more been thinking about the mountains in the north. But maybe I should check out the climate of north coast in more detail.
It's just that I already struggle during the summer in Germany, which leads me to the conclusion that the same season in Spain wouldn't be a particular great idea for me. I loved the Finnish summer though.

I had a spanish teacher from Santander once. I think she said that part of Spain (north coast) was described as 'green Spain', which suggests a noticeable difference.

That's indeed less than 1°C difference in the summer months to the place im currently living in (avarage and maximum temperature). Maybe going August+September* might be an option. If well planned I might even be eligible for Erasmus+-money again. I'm not sure, whether I can still receive it when I'm not enrolled as a student anymore, but until September 30th I am.

*I hope to have the defense in beginning of June, and there are some other plans already for July, so before end of July I probably won't have the time to go for two months.

We finally got a bit of snow yesterday. Unfortunately today the temperature is again above 0°C, but there's at least still some snow.
