Main Goal:
Assimil NFWE

Completed Today:
Lesson 111, Scriptorium Lesson 19

Next Step:
Lesson 112, Scriptorium Lesson 20

Notes:
I'm paying more attention to verb conjugations while I do Scriptorium. I think my next book purchases will be a full(but understandable if there is such a thing) French grammar reference and a French/English dictionary.

Are you going to jump into reading after finishing Assimil?

I am. I'm debating what to read though. I have a few Harry Potter novels in French and English as well as the audio books. I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not I should read those all the way through while choosing one page per chapter to do scriptorium on. I know there are differences between the English and French translations but I think I'd be able to spot them.

Main Goal:
Assimil NFWE

Completed Today:
Lesson 112 & 113, Scriptorium Lesson 20

Next Step:
Scriptorium and Shadow Lesson 21

Notes:
I'm done with the main part of the Assimil book. Scriptorium is helping a ton so I'm going to keep going with that. I'm still not sure exactly what to do next but I'm kind of leaning towards making a side by side with my Harry Potter pdfs and doing Scriptorium on one page per chapter.

I finished the first season of "Les Revenants". It's incredible, I've never gotten so hooked on a tv series before.

Sorry it's been so long guys. I've been working a ton of overtime at work so I spent the only hour of free time I had every day watching "Led Revenants" with my girlfriend. We're finishing season two right now. I'm going to get back to studying hard core this week and hopefully start my Harry Potter experiment at a goal of two chapters per week.

Main Goal:
Assimil NFWE

Completed Today:
Scriptorium Lesson 24

Next Step:
Scriptorium and Shadow Lesson 25

Secondary Goal:
Harry Potter in French

Completed Today:
Listened to Chapter one while reading along.

Next Step:
Scriptorium and Intensive Reading Part of Chapter 1

Notes:
I'm interested in seeing how far doing Harry Potter will take me. I'm hoping that it'll at least help me in my listening comprehension(something I think a lot of learners struggle with). I don't have a French-English dictionary yet so I'll be using online resources to translate words during intensive reading. Maybe I should consider a pop-up dictionary as well?

Main Goal:
Assimil NFWE

Completed Today:
Scriptorium Lesson 25

Next Step:
Scriptorium and Shadow Lesson 26

Secondary Goal:
Harry Potter in French

Completed Today:
Scriptorium and Intensive Reading

Next Step:
Listen to Chapter two of HP while following along with the book.

Notes:
I did Scriptorium on a few paragraphs of chapter one today and then translated the text before reading the passages again(so I would know what I was saying and writing). I've found that a few words translations don't make sense to me but that's probably do to google translate more than anything else.
I'm going to order a French-English dictionary when I can so that I can translate passages in a more hyper literal way to get a better sense of the grammar and word usage.
I'm going to make a verb-conjugation cheat sheet for quick reference and I may make some grammar notes as I go.
After translating the first paragraph, I already knew a few words in the following paragraphs which made it a little easier. I see this working out very well for me.

Scriptorium Lesson 26

Next Step:
Scriptorium and Shadow Lesson 27

Secondary Goal:
Harry Potter in French

Completed Today:
Listened to Chapter two of HP while reading along

Next Step:
Scriptorium on one page of chapter two

Notes:
I would like to create a side by side of the book with the French on one side and the English on the other. I think I would learn a lot that way.
